Riots during Patidar Reservation Protests: Hortik Patel gets jail term of 2 years

Ahmedabad, June 25 : Hartik Patel has been convicted and sentenced to 2 years imprisonment by a court in connection with the Patidar Reservation Protest

A case has been registered by the Visnagar court of Gujarat,Along with Hartik Patel 3 have been sentenced to 2 years in jail and fined Rs 50,000 each.

During the 2015 protests by Patitar Anamat Andolan Committee  lead by Haridik Patel, around 500 people from the patel community destroyed the office of BJP legislators at Visnagar city. They also had attacked journalists.

A case has been registered against Hardik Patel and 17 in connection with the case. A complaint was lodged against the Patel Anamat Andolan Committee headed by Hardhik and others by BJP MLA Rishikesh Patel.
