Antigua Government to consider repatriation of Mehul Choksi to India

New Delhi, July 27 (ANI): The government of Antigua has said that it will consider repatriating Mehul Choksi to india if a legal request is made from the Government of India. Mehul Choksi is currently   required for involving in the Punjab National Bank multi-crore multi-crore scam.

Mehul Choksi is the uncle of Nirav Modi, who is the main accused in the Rs 13,500 crore PNB scandal. Choksi is currently a citizen of Antigua.

The Antigua Chief of Staff Lionel “Max ‘Hearst has said that the Government of Antigua and Barbados will make all efforts to consider repatriation if a legal formal request is made from India.

Mehul Choksi had acquired Antigua Citizenship last november and it was discussed in the senate and decided to repatriate him to india if the formal request if made.

The CBI has already asked Interpol to issue a Red Corner Notice against Mehul Choksi, which is likely to be passed in the near future, reports said.
