Tamil super star and Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) chief Kamal Haasan is gettign ready for 2019 Lok Sabha polls. However, he said his party is not ready to contect in the forthcoming by-election in Tamil Nadu.
“We are getting ready for it (2019 general elections) and it’s true that we are ready already,” Haasan said However, when asked whether his party will contest in the forthcoming by-election in the state, Kamal replied, “We will teach a lesson to the government to tell them about their duties, but we are not in the mindset to contest it.”
Two Assembly seats – Thiruvarur and Thiruparankundram constituencies – have fallen vacant after the demise of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) chief M Karunanidhi and All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) leader A K Bose. By-elections are to be held shortly in these two constituences.
Other superstar, Rajanikanth, who is also making preparations to start a new party is yet to reval his plans to contest in Lok Sabha polls. He had earlier said that his party will contest for all seats in Assembly polls, but will take a decision on Lok Sabha polls later.
Though these two superstarts are yet to indicate their moves for political alliances, they seems to be certain to opt for some formidable groups and parties as alliances. But now one seems to be interested to allay with AIADMK or its factions.
