D K Shivakumar says BJP trying to destabilise coalition

Karnataka minister D K Shivakumar, who was slapped with a case by Enforcement Directorate (ED) for alleged money laundering, accused that the BJP government at the center is trying to destabilise the Congress – JDS government in Karnataka. As Lok Sabha elections are nearing, he said that they want to damage his party, he added.

Alleging that the BJP has offered crores to Congress MLAs for defections, he asserted that they (BJP) can’t form a government here. “You are having a daydream. I know how many MLAs you are trying to block and how many crores you offered,” he added.

Shivakumar asserted that he has always cooperated with authorities and will not run away. Recalling that he was admitted in hospital due to food poisoning and not a coward to run away, heasked does ED need a year to register a case against him. Stating that till now he didn’t received any notices, he said he is law abiding citizen and always cooperated with authoriteis. He also said that he is ready to face any kind of consequences.

The ruling coalition in Karnataka, Congress and the JD(S) have been accusing the Modi government of using the central agencies such as CBI, ED and Income Tax department to harass state senior minister DK Shivakumar for taking on the BJP time and again.
