Sabarimala, South India’s Ayodhya, says VHP

Endorsing CPM General Secretary Sitaram Yechury drawing parallel between the present unrest at Sabarimala temple with the demolition of Ayodhya’s babari masjid in 1992, Viswa Hindu parishad (VHP) spokesperson Vinod Bansal today said that Sabarimala temple is South India’s Ayodhya.

He welcomed that Yechuri has himself compared Sabarimala with Ayodhya. Coming heaviely on Left government in Kerala, he said that the way sanctity, religious belief and the serenity of Sabarimala have been attacked shows the reality of the CPM.

He lamented that the CPM remains blind and ignorant on Kerala nun suffering, the way non-Hindus are appointed in Travancore Devaswom Board. He has appreciated and thanked the people, who are protesting and saving the sanctity of the temple in Sabarimala.

Meanwhile, the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party have slammed the Kerala government for allegedly extending support to bring women activists to the Sabarimala temple and hurting the sentiments of devotees.
