Prime Minister Narendra Modi today took an indirect jibe at Congress President Rahul Gandhi, saying that whenever some leaders open their mouths, “they speak lies like AK 47”.
Addressing the BJP cadre ahead of the assembly elections in Telangana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Mizoram, PM Modi asked BJP workers to throw light on the ‘lies of the Opposition’.
Some leaders speak lies like machines. Whenever they open their mouths, they throw lies like AK 47. In such cases, you will have to expose their lies in front of the people, he said.
PM Modi’s remarks have come in the backdrop of Rahul Gandhi’s allegations that French company Dassault Aviation paid Rs 284 crore as the “first installment of kickbacks” to Anil Ambani’s Reliance Defence. The Congress president further claimed that PM Narendra Modi would not be able to survive a probe in the Rafale jet deal and was spending “sleepless nights”.
