Congress President Rahul Gandhi today alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had broken every promise, he had made. Campaigining for Congress candidates in poll-bound Telangana state, for the second day, he strongly pitched for farm loan waiver.
“If the Prime Minister of India can forgive three lakh fifty thousand crore (Rupees) of 15 people…The richest people in the country, then he should be ready to forgive the loan of India’s farmers,” he added.
He asserted that they are not asking for any free gift for farmers. But, he said they are just saying that whatever you do, you treat everyone fairly. If you are treating the richest people in the country, and you are giving them a loan waiver, then you owe that to the farmers of the country, he added.
Addressing a convention on “KG to PG recognised institutions in Telangana for ‘Change and Existence” here, Rahul alleged that Modi has broken every single promise of his, including that of being an honest Prime Minister.
Rahul had said that the TRS was the “B team” of Sangh Parivar and the BJP. He claimed the aim of K Chandrasekhar Rao’s party and AIMIM was to ensure that his party could not able to defeat the BJP at the national level.
Sharing dais with TDP boss and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for the first time after forging a four-party alliance, Rahul told election rallies in Hyderabad, last night that all promises made at the time of the bifurcation of AP would be fulfilled after a coalition of anti-BJP parties comes to power at the Centre.
