Swamy seeks to arrest Navjot Singh Sidhu under NSA

Former Union Minister and BJP MP Dr  Subramanian Swamy, today, lashed out at Navjot Singh Sidhu, a day after he denied knowing Khalistani terrorist Gopal Singh Bhawla. He demanded that he should be arrested under National Security Act (NSA).

“Then you say that I’ve nothing to do with Khalistan and condemn it. But he should be investigated by National Investigation Agency (NIA) and arrested under National Security Act,” he added.

It may be recalled that Punjab Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu, had denied yesterday,  knowing Gopal Singh Chawla, a Khalistani terrorist, with whom a picture of his went viral on social media earlier in the day.

Moreover, in a irresponsible way, Siddu said that there were thousands of pictures clicked of him/with him, and he could not possibly keep account of every one of them. After returning to India from his Pakistan visit, Sidhu said, “There were probably 5-10,000 pictures taken of and with me there (in Pakistan), I don’t know who is Gopal Chawla.”

Chawla, a senior leader of Pakistan Sikh Gurudwara Prabhandak Committee (PSGPC), is known as a pro-Khalistan voice. His involvement is also suspected in the recent attack on a Nirankari gathering in Amritsar in which three persons were killed. His presence at Kartarpur corridor event came as a last-minute surprise for India.
