Centre approves Additional central assistance of Rs 3048.39 crore to Kerala flood relief

The Union Home Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh chairing a meeting of the High Level Committee (HLC) to consider additional Central Assistance to the States of Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Nagaland which were recently affected by cyclone, floods and landslides respectively, in New Delhi on December 06, 2018. The Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs, Shri Arun Jaitley, the Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Shri Radha Mohan Singh and the Union Home Secretary, Shri Rajiv Gauba are also seen.

The High-Level Committee (HLC), chaired by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today approved the additional central assistance from National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF) of Rs 3,048.39 crore to Kerala. It also approved additional assistance of Rs 131.16 crore to Nagaland and Rs 539.52 crore to Andhra Pradesh.

The meeting approved  these additional assistance to states, which were affected by floods, landslides and cyclone Titli respectively during the recent months.

The Union Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley, Union Minister for Agriculture, Radha Mohan Singh, Union Home Secretary, Rajiv Gauba and senior officers of the Ministries of Home Affairs, Finance and Agriculture were present in the meeting.

The HLC approved the additional assistance from National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF) of Rs 3048.39 crore to Kerala, Rs. 131.16 crore to Nagaland and Rs 539.52 crore to Andhra Pradesh.
