Senior RSS leader and its Sar Karyavaha Suresh ‘Bhaiyyaji’ Joshi, besides several prominent Hindu seers today made a veiled attack on the BJP for not fulfilling its promise of constructing a Ram temple in Ayodhya and demanded that the Union government enact a legislation, if need be, for it.
He was addressing a massive ‘Dharam Sansad’ rally at Ramlila Maidan in the national capital, organized by VHP. The RSS executive head said, “Those in power today had promised to construct a Ram temple. They should listen to people and fulfil the demand of temple in Ayodhya. They are aware of the sentiments.” Without naming the BJP, Joshi added, “We are not begging for it. We are expressing our emotions. The country wants ‘Ram rajya’.”
Joshi said, “We have no conflict with any community, We are not begging but expressing sentiments. Making law is the only option for Ram temple. The movement will continue till commitment is fulfilled.”
Meanwhile, Swami Hansdevacharya of Haridwar said, “We should not let Modi leave Prime Minister post until he meets the promise of building Ram Temple.”
Besides Joshi, VHP president Vishnu Sadashiv Kokje and its international working president Alok Kumar also addressed the crowd.n he VHP had carried out a door-to-door campaign to make today’s rally a success. “It (rally) will change the hearts of all those who are not in favour of bringing the bill for construction of a grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya,” VHP’s spokesperson Vinod Bansal said.
