After losing governments in three crucial states, BJP seems to be concentrating more in streamlining its relations with allies, starting with union minister and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) chief Ram Vilas Paswan.
At a time political speculations are going on that Paswan was uneasy with BJP’s treatment and his son Chirag, who is parliamentary party chairman of LJP also indications they have some other options too, BJP chief Amit Shah himself swing into action.
He had unscheduled meeting with Paswan and his won last evening, in which the BJP chief assured all their concerns will be addressed. Again, today Finance Minister Arun Jaitly met Paswan and said to be finalized a `deal’.
The deal, which will be announced tomorrow, in which BJP leadership almost `surrendered’ to Paswan’s demands. As a result, BJP has reportedly offered five Lok Sabha seats in Bihar and one more seat in Uttar Pradesh.
Besides, BJP also agreed to offer Rajya Sabha seat to nine-time MP Ram Vilas Paswan (72), who has decided not to contest to Lok Sabha anymore.
