8 Congress MLAs to be inducted into Karnataka cabinet this evening

Finally the time is set for the much-awaited cabinet reshuffle in Karnataka. Eight Congress MLAs are said to be inducted into H D Kumaraswamy cabinet today at 5.20 pm and two ministers will be dropped.

However, no one will be inducted from JD(S) this time, who are likely to be inducted next month after Sankratri. Congress sources said that Municipal Administration Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi and Forest and Environment Minister R Shankar will be dropped from the cabinet.

Ramesh Jarkiholi, who has been allegedly hobnobbing with BJP leaders and not attending Cabinet and party meetings is being replaced by his brother Satish Jarkiholi. Shankar is an Independent MLA, who is reportedly facing the axe over his reluctance to be an associate member of the Congress.

News ministers to be included are : Satish Jarkiholi, MB Patil, CS Shivalli, MTB Nagaraj, E Tukaram, PT Parameshwar Naik, Rahim Khan and RB Thimmapur. These names were cleared by Congress president Rahul Gandhi, yesterday.
