While both BJP and Congress are locked in fire fighting accusations against each other over the row over “Accidental Prime Minister”, the biopic film on former prime minister Manmohan Singh, both BJP and JD (S) are now busy in Karnataka with similar allegations of “Accidental CM” in the state.
The main opposition in the state BJP dubbed chief minister H D Kumaraswamy as an “Accidental CM”, keeping in view he became head of the state with a mere strength of 36 MLAs, taking advantage from Congress’s hurry in mobilizing more allies for 2019 polls.
BJP took severe objection over Kumaraswamy’s proposed visit to Singapore to celebrate the new year, at a time when most parts of the state are reeling under drought.
“After new govt was formed 377 farmers have ended their lives 156 talukas declared drought-hit, loan waiver has still not been done, Karnataka has slipped to a debt ridden state & here we have the so called son of soil CM @hd_kumaraswamy celebrating new year in Singapore (sic),” the Karnataka unit of the BJP said in a tweet.
“If there was a movie titled #AccidentalCM who will play the role of @hd_kumaraswamy?,” it said in another tweet.
According to a press release from Chief Minister’s office, Kumaraswamy would go abroad with family tonight on a personal visit and return on the night of January 1, 2019. According to CMO officials, it has been a practice for the Janata Dal (Secular) leader to celebrate the new year with family for the last few years.
