Bangalore Dec 31: Consortium of Electronic Industries (CLIK) in association with Visveswaraya Trade Promotions Center (VTPC), a setup under Department of Industries and commerce, Government of Karnataka conducted an Export Awareness Programme to educate on the Scope of Exports of Electronic products in Karnataka and India and the way forward.
The programme was conducted by Shri Bhaskar, Programme Co-ordinator from VTPC who spoke on various topics of Introduction to International Trade, Institution Framework for International Trade and Assistance from both Central and Karnataka State Government. The programme was held at CLIK office in bengaluru
The programme was attended by many of the CLIK members including president Ms. Hemamalini, VP Shri GL Sreedhar, General Secretary Narayan Prasad and other Office bearers and past presidents.
In the programme Mr. Bhaskar mentioned that Karnataka currently stands at 4th position in the list of top exporters of the country and adds to about 9% of total export in the country. The other top 3 are Maharashtra, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu. However when it comes to Software Exports, Karnataka is leading by a huge margin.
