The lone BJP MLA in Telangana Raja Singh today said that he wouldn’t take oath in the state assembly as Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao chosen AIMIM’s six-term MLA Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, as pro-tem speaker. After more than a month of poll results, the assembly will be meeting first time on January 17.
After all the newly elected MLAs took oath, the election for the new speaker will be held on the next day. However, Raja Singh finding fault with KCR for chosing an MIM MLA to perform the duties of pro-tem speaker, said that he will not attend the assembly till the election of a new speaker. He said later he till take oath.
Raja Singh accused that the AIMIM is a party which wants get rid of Hindus. He also accused AIMIM of not being patriotic enough stating they never sing Vande Mataram and never say Bharat Mata ki Jai. “I don’t want to take oath in front of a pro-tem speaker whose party wants to vanish Hindus. They never sing Vande Mataram & never say Bharat Mata ki Jai,” he added.
In a video uploaded on his Facebook page, Raja Singh said, “All the MLAs have to take oath in front of an AIMIM MLA. This decision has been taken by the Telangana CM KCR. I would like to say that Raja Singh will not go to the Telangana Assembly and will not take oath in front of him.”
“I will not take oath in front of a Speaker belonging to ‘that’ (AIMIM) party, which speaks about finishing off Hindus and won’t say ‘Vande Mataram’ or ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’. I won’t take oath in front of a Speaker from such a dirty party,” he added.
