Amit Shah warns Shiva Sena to defeat hands down

BJP top leadership seems to be losing patience with its longest serving allay Shiva Sena’s attitude towards them. While on one hand, the regional party making efforts to continue alliance in the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls, on the otherhand day in and out has been criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On most of occasions, it has been stating opposite to BJP in both the houses of Parliament, though Shiva Sena is sharing power with BJP both at the Centre and also in the state.
For the last couple of days, BJP chief Amit Shah started giving stern warning to Shiva Sena leadership, stating that they are ready to go alone even with out Shiva Sena. Giving indications that BJP is ready for alliance with Shiva Sena, he made it clear that the alliance should be in a reasonable way. If the Shiva Sena continue its adamant attitude, he has directed his party MPs from Maharashtra to get ready to contest without Shiva Sena.

Amit Shah warned that BJP would defeat the Sena hands down in Maharashtra if the party does not enter into an alliance before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Amit Shah and Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis addressed a meeting of booth-level workers from Latur, Nanded, Osmanabad and Hingoli in Latur city, last evening.

Amit Shah is confident that BJP would defeat the Sena hands down in Maharashtra if the party does not enter into an alliance before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Fadnavis even set a target to  his party workers a targt of winning 40 of the state’s 48 Lok Sabha seats. The BJP has openly expressed its desire to mend ties with Sena and forge an alliance, however, Sena leaders said no BJP leaders have met the Sena leadership. The Sena and BJP had contested the 2014 Lok Sabha polls as allies, but split at the time of Assembly elections. The Sena joined the state government later.

Meanwhile, Shah told party workers to not worry about an alliance and instead prepare to “root out” the opposition. Chief Minister even hinted out that the BJP would put candidates even in seats contested by allies.
