YSR Congress Party chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, today, welcomed the idea of Federal Front, a move that was initiated by Telangana chief minister and TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao, as an umbrella to all non-BJP and non-Congress parties.
After holding preliminary talks in this regard with TRS working president K T Rama Rao, who was deputed by KCR, at his residence, Reddy has expressed hope such an initiative will empower regional parties to bring pressure on the Centre for their state’s interests.
Stating that they had only preliminary discussion, the Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh, said that they would have more discussions chalking out details when KCR meets him later in Vijayawada. He said he had telephonic call from KCR in this regard.
KTR said that he has explained his party’s efforts towards brining qualitative changes in politics. Reddy said that he will discuss with his party colleagues on the proposals put forward by KTR so that to reach an understanding.

KCR had earlier met West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnayak and DMK president MD Stalin also in this regard. Prior to Telangaan assembly elections, he met former chief minister HD Deve Gowda and former UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav.
