Even before Narendra Modi government to take a firm decision on construction of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya, to fulfil his poll promise and various Hindu groups associated with RSS and VSP announce a special programme on this issue, Param Dharam Sansad, a confluence of Hindu spiritual leaders from across the country, said to be opposite to RSS and VHS, has announced its plan for construciton of the temple.
This gorup, headed by Swami Swaroopanand has declared at the end of two-day long conclave at Kumbha Mela that they will lay foundation stone of Ram Mandir after leaving from Prayag on Feb 21. The move came a day after the central government moved the Supreme Court to release undisputed land in Ayodhya to title holders.
Swaroopanand said that the movement should not stop now. Hindus across the country should step forward if front runners are stopped. “They are planning to construct a statue by taking possession of the land around Ram Janmbhoomi and not the 0.3 acres of the disputed land,” he added.
“How did you decide that land should be returned, who are you (govt) to decide. We have to construct grand ram temple in those 66 acres,” he he asked. Saraswati and his followers propose to leave for Ayodhya on 21st February to lay the foundation stone of the temple.
While, VHP and the RSS had been seeking a legislative route for the construction of temple at Ayodhya, Prime Minister Modi in an interview earlier this year ruled out any move to bring in an ordinance for the acquisition of the disputed land as the matter was pending before the court.
Saraswati’s call for Ayodhya March on the other hand ups the ante, testing VHP affiliated Dharam Sansad on its strident position taken by Sangh affiliates over the last 6 months.
