Voice is mine but audio tape is doctored : Yeddyurappa

Karnataka BJP president BS Yeddyurappa two days after alleging the audio tape released by Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy exposing “Operation Lotus”, today admitted that his voice was recorded, but claims it was doctored.

Further, he accused that it was a conspiracy of the chief minister himself, who is blackmailing tactics. He admitted that Sharanagouda, son of JD(S) MLA from Gurmitkal Naganagouda Kandkur visited him, when he was sleeping at Devadurga circuit house.

Out of courtesy, he said he spoke to Sharanagauda, but he was unaware he that person was recording their conversation. However, he alleged that Kumaraswamy seems to have edited the audio due to his background in the film industry and aired it to tarnish his image.

But, in reality, he said that Sharanagouda himself aired his grievances before him. “Since I was in a sleepy mood, I asked him to meet the next day”, the former chief  minister said and expressed anguish over the dragging of the name of Speaker Ramesh Kumar, who is an honest person, into the controversy.
