Poll strategist and JD(U) national vice president Prashant Kishore predicted today that Narendra Modi will return as the Prime Minister, after the Lok Sabha polls. Kishor, who had played key role in Modi’s poll stretagies during 2014 polls, later parted way with him.
Last year, he joined JD(U) and became a key figure in the party associating with party chief Nitish Kumar. His recent meeting with Shiva Sena chief Uddav Thackeray, providing him some inputs for forth coming polls, raised speculation that he is likely to play some role in the 2019 polls also.
Already he has been assisting YSR Congress Party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the leader of opposition in Andhra Pradesh. Thus, he seems to be playing some role among pro-BJP parties.
Stating that Nitish Kumar is a “big leader in the NDA”, he ruled out the possibility of he claiming for the Prime Minister post, even in the event of the BJP not getting a clear mandate.
Anybody who has ruled a major state like Bihar for close to 15 years is bound to have a stature. But it would be unfair to him if we start considering him a claimant for the prime minister’s post, he added.
Though he is predicting that Modi will return as Prime Minister again, he is not making any predictions on number of seats the BJP and its allies are likely to get.
