Two terrorists killed in J&K

At least two terrorists have been killed in the encounter between terrorists and security forces in Kupwara district’s Handwara area of Jammu and  Kashmir, earlier today. The militants were believed to be from the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terror outfit. A search operation is underway.

The encounter was a joint operation conducted by the Rashtriya Rifles, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the Jammu and Kashmir police.

Earlier, yesterday also  at least two Jaish-e-Mohammed JeM) terrorists were killed in an encounter with the security forces in J-K’s Shopian district.

The encounter took place after a joint team of security forces launched a search and cordon operation over a tip-off about 2-3 terrorists hiding in Memander area of Shopian.

The February 27 encounter just after the IAF avenged the Pulwama terror attack by carrying a ‘non-military pre-emptive air strike’ on three camps of the terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) in Pakistan thus killing nearly 300 militants.
