India carried out 3 cross-border strikes in 5 years: Rajnath Singh

Home Minister Rajnath Singh today made a stunning claim on the air strikes conducted by the Indian forces, beyond our borders.  Without naming Pakistan, he said that in last five years, the security forces – under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi – has conducted three air strikes across the border.

The Union home minister made this comment at a public rally in Mangaluru, Karnataka. However, he said that he will give information only on two surgical strikes, but will not disclose anything about the third one.

“In the last five years, we have been successful in carrying out air strikes crossing our borders three times. I will share information about two of those operations but will not speak on the third mission,” he added.

Singh said the second air strike was carried out days after Pulwama terror attack in which 40 CRPF soldiers were killed in Jammu and Kashmir. A suicide bomber targeted a convoy of the paramilitary force on Jammu-Srinagar highway on February 14.
