Sapna Choudhary met Delhi BJP chief denying joining Congress

Row over Haryanvi singer and dancer Sapna Choudhary continue to be taking several shapes. Latest photos shows that she had allegedly met Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari on the same day when she denied joining Congress at a press conference.

Within hours of denying joining Congress, she met Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari. Photos of Sapna Choudhary and Manoj Tiwari on social media showed the singer-dancer wearing the same pink dress she wore at the press conference on Sunday evening.

Sapna Choudhary claimed that she has not joined the Congress within hours of Uttar Pradesh Congress chief Raj Babbar welcoming her into the party fold. Further, she accused the party of using her old pictures with Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.

When confronted by reporters about her pictures filling up forms of Congress membership, Choudhary said if her old interview can be aired, why cannot her pictures be passed off as new.

According to sources, Choudhary was keen to contest from Mathura, where the BJP has fielded Bollywood actor Hema Malini. However, the Congress declared Mahesh Pathak as the party candidate from Mathura in the eighth list of candidates for the Lok Sabha polls released Saturday night.

Meanwhile, Sapna Chaudhary has strongly reacted to BJP MLA Surendra Singh’s comments and  tweeted, “Rahul Gandhi is like my elder brother. But this BJP legislator’s cheap thought has got me thinking. The statement from the legislator of a national party is highly disgraceful and condemnable. Is insulting women his culture?”

BJP legislator’s ill-considered, offensive remarks on UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and artiste Sapna Chaudhary yesterday has drawn widespread criticism from political parties and social media users alike. Here is what Surendra Singh told a news agendy : “Rahul’s mother was also in the same profession in Italy and his father made her his own. He (Rahul Gandhi) should also take the family tradition forward and make Sapna his own”.
