Rahul claims PM Modi afraid of NYAY

Congress president Rahul Gandhi, today, said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is afraid of Nyuntam Aay Yojana (NYAY), a poverty alleviation scheme announced by Congress, two days ago. Addressing the second OBC convention of the AICC, since he took charge, he said if Modi government can do injustice, then Congress can deliver NYAY.

“Have you seen PM Modi’s face today? There is nervousness; there is fear on his face. He has sensed that time has come to leave the office” said Rahul. Promise of giving 15 lakh to the every citizen cannot be fulfilled but Congress can give Rs 72,000 annually to the 20% poorest families, he said and asserted that his party does not make false promises.

Announcing that the Congress party would abolish the concept of seeking 50-60 permissions to establish a small-scale business, if voted to power, the Congress president taunted the Modi government for converting the “Make in India” scheme to “Make in France by Anil Ambani”.

“We do not want ‘Make in India’ by Anil Ambani, instead we want ‘Make in India by you (OBC)’,” he added. Drawing a contrast between the Congress and the BJP, Rahul Gandhi said Congress makes policy after due consolation but the Modi government takes decisions arbitrarily.

He promised that his party will give greater political representation to Other Backward Classes (OBCs) not just within the organization, but also in Parliament and state assemblies.
