Minister Giriraj Singh Shares Stage With Bihar Shelter Home Case accused Manju Verma

Union Minister Giriraj Singh, who is unhappy for shifting his constituency by the party leadership, has now landed into a fresh  controversy after he was seen sharing a stage with former Bihar minister Manju Verma, who is out on bail in Muzaffarpur shelter home rape case during a rally in the state.

After the picture of both Singh and Verma went viral on Twitter, people advised BJP to keep away from tainted faces as it might cost them this Lok Sabha election 2019. Giriraj Singh was addressing a rally in Begusarai on Saturday when Manju Verma was spotted on the stage with the minister.

The Patna High Court granted bail to Manju Verma,  who was embroiled in the Arms Act case which was linked to the infamous Muzaffarpur shelter home case. She had been lodged in jail since November 20, 2018. The suspended JDU MLA was arrested from her residence during a CBI raid last year.

Verma had stepped down as the minister for social welfare in August, following reports that her husband, Chandrashekhar Verma, had close links with Brajesh Thakur, the prime accused in the Muzaffarpur shelter home scandal. Over 30 girls were allegedly raped at the shelter home.
