Swamy confident BJP will return power on Hindutva plank

The controversial BJP MP and former union minister Dr Subramanian Swamy is confident that the BJP will return to power at the Centre, despite people angry over economic issues. Speaking at Ka DNA 2019 Conclave, last evening, however said that it was not due to `Brand Modi’, but the ideology of the BJP and its Hindutva agenda are the core issues that would give the party its second consecutive term at the Centre.

He didn’t hide his differences with Prime Minister Modi’s initiatives. He was critical of Mod’s ambitious campaign of `Main Bhi Chowkidar. He made it clear that , “I am not a chowkidar as I am a Brahmin and can’t catch a thief. I don’t agree with the PM Modi’s definition of chowkidar as I can only tell who to catch and I can’t catch them.”

Moreover, he admitted the failure of the Modi government in economic issues and particularly targeted Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, calling him a failed finance minister with no knowledge of the economy.

When asked who he considers an economist Finance Minister, Swamy said, “neither Jaitley nor Chidambaram are economists. The only economist finance minister was Dr. Manmohan Singh in 1991.”

Even, he didn’t spared Congress president Rahul Gandhi and his mother Sonia Gandhi. Reminding them they are accused in National Herald case and are currently out on bail, he revealed that   Rahul Gandhi failed in M.Phil and his real name is Raul Vinchi.

On Ram Mandir, he called it a matter of faith for Hindus and that Mosques are only a place of offering namaz that can be erected anywhere. Making a strong pitch for the temple, Swamy said, “ If the government won’t make Ram Mandir, I will make it.”
