PM says, Your vote, not Modi brought positive changes

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that “It is your vote and not Modi that brought positive changes in country, lit up lives of poor, filled their lives with hopes” .

Addressing election rally in Kalahandi of Odisha, he accused the opposition parties like Congress and BJD conspired to keep the poor of the country poor and deceived them. He deplored that they treat them as vote bank.

“Due to this deception, people like Dana Majhi could not get an ambulance. Many people in Odisha had to leave their homes and go to other states to do jobs. Due to this deception, Odisha could not develop as much as it was supposed to be. Congress and BJD have conspired to keep the people poor,” he alleged.

He slammed the Naveen Patnaik-led Odisha government for “not cooperating” with the Centre to bring about speedy development in the state and said he has taken advantage of central schemes to ensure the welfare of Odiyas. “The government in Odisha did not cooperate with us. Despite its indifference, we did our best in launching development projects in the state,”  he added.

“24 lakh houses in Odisha have got free electricity connection. After 70 yrs of independence, 3000 villages of Odisha got electricity for the first time. All of these things weren’t done by Modi, India’s voters are the ones who made it happen,”  he added.

Attacking opposition, Modi said parties like Congress and BJD conspired to keep the poor of the country poor and deceived them. He said that they treat them as vote-bank. Modi urged Odiyas to vote for BJP and repeat the history created by Uttar Pradesh in 2017 and Tripura in 2018.
