BJP president Amit Shah today strongly dismissed TRS campaign in Telangana during Lok Sabha polls asking people to get elected their candidates in all 16 seats of the state, leaving one seat to its allay AIMIM, so that to decide the next Prime Minister of the country.
Addressing a election rally in Shamshabad, near Hyderabad, he asked “Can KCR, the Chief Minister of the state, become Prime Minister of this country in any circumstance?”
Noting that the BJP respects the mandate of the people in the recent Assembly elections in Telangana in which the TRS returned to power, Shah pointed out that the coming Lok Sabha elections were to “choose the Prime Minister of the country, to choose Modi and BJP.”
He accused that KCR is promoting `family rule’ in the state and preoccupied in promoting his son, daughter and close relatives, but forgetting the welfare of the people. He lamented that TRS of being a “dynastic party” just like the Congress.
He reminded that even after getting stunning majority in Assembly elections, it took more than two months for the chief minister to expand his cabinet, which is still incomplete.
Assuring that Narendra Modi government at the center is interested in the overall development of the Telangana state, he said it gave Telangana central funds of over Rs 2.45 lakh crore in the last five years, while the previous UPA regime gave only Rs 16,500 crore.
