Nitish Kumar expressed desire for return into alliance with RJD

Former Bihar Chief Minister and wife of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, who had created ripples among political circles in the state alleging that the poll strategist and JD(U) vice president has met her husband as many as five times, seeking rapprochement between two parties, today directly brought Chief Minister Nitish Kumar into the controversy, accusing that the later too expressed desire for return into alliance with RJD.

According to her, ahead of Lok Sabha elections, Nitish Kumar too want to rekindle their erstwhile poll partnership. She asserted that ” Nitish Kumar wanted to come back, he had said that I want to see Tejashwi as chief minister in 2020 and you declare me as PM candidate.”

Rabri’s claims come in the backdrop of a bitter battle of words between her and Prashant Kishor after the former alleged that the famed poll strategist is trying to pitch another shot at a JD(U)-RJD alliance, presumably on the behest of chief minister Nitish Kumar.

However, strongly denying Rabri Devi’s claims, Prashant Kishor dared RJD supremo Lalu to tell the media what transpired during their talks. He came down heavily on Lalu for making “false claims” and tweeted saying “those convicted or facing charges of abuse of public office and misappropriation of funds are claiming to be the custodians of truth”.

He dared the RJD supremo to sit with him before the media and tell everybody what transpired during their meeting and who offered what.
