Two J&K families `ruined’ three generations: PM Modi

Launching an all-out attack at the families of former Jammu  and Kashmir chief  ministers Omar  Abdulla and  Mehbooba Mufti, Prime Minister Narendra  Modi  today lamented that two families `ruined’ three generations of the s tate. Addressing poll rally in Jammu, he asserted that he will  not allow them to `divide’ India.

Referring to their demand for a separate prime minister for the state, Prime Minister said “Abdullah family and Mufti family destroyed lives of three generations of the state. The bright future of Jammu and Kashmir can be ensured only after their departure. They can bring their entire clan into field, can abuse Modi as much as they want. But, they won’t be able to divide this nation”. “Be it Jammu, Kashmir or Leh Ladakh. Every child of this place is an Indian citizen,” he added.

Meanwhile, hitting out at the Congress, PM Modi said that the party’s policies were behind migration of Kashmiri Pandits from Valley.  He accused that only due to the policies of Congress, Kashmiri Pandits had to leave their own home. Congress and their friends were so worried about their vote bank that they overlooked the atrocities on Kashmiri Pandits, he said.

Claiming that the BJP is making efforts to form law to provide citizenship to families which have come here helplessly from Pakistan, the PM said, “Congress might avoid taking their name but this chowkidar is committed to let Kashmiri Pandits live on their land. Work has begun. We’re also making efforts to form law to provide citizenship to families which have come here helplessly from Pakistan and believe in ‘Ma Bharti’.”
