One more AAP MLA joins BJP

The second AAP MLA in a week time, Devinder Sehrawat has joined BJP in the presence of Union Minister Vijay Goel at BJP Party Headquarters earlier today. He blasted the Delhi Government for stalling developmental work in his constituency and cited this as a reason for joining the BJP.

Sehrawat said that he took the decision to join the country’s best political team after consultations with Union ministers Sushma Swaraj, Nitin Gadkari and Hardeep Singh Puri. He said he felt insulted as AAP never included him in any programmes and policies. He attributed the developmental works in Mahipalpur, which comes under his Bijwasan constituency, to the Centre. Sehrawat lauded the Centre for fostering developmental work in the airport area amounting to 3000 crore rupees.

Devinder Sehrawat after joining the BJP cited his desire to solve issues related to rural areas and land acquisition. He said that previously Arvind Kejriwal’s demand for Jan Lokpal made him join the Aam Aadmi Party. Sehrawat claims that listening to the woes of the public had earned him the wrath of other AAP leaders. Sehrawat claimed that the Delhi Government did nothing for Bijwasan constituency after coming to power.
