Former Odisha minister Biswa Bhushan is AP’s Governor

Senior BJP leader from Odisha and former minister Biswa Bhusan Harichandan has been appointed as the governor of Andhra Pradesh, official Rashtrapati Bhavan sources said this evening.

Harichandan was the BJP state president in Odisha from 1980 to 1988. He was also minister in BJD-BJP government in the state. He was active in politics since Jana Sangh days. He is also a writer.

A press release from Rashtrapati Bhavan said, “The President of India is pleased to make the following appointments: Sushri Anusuiya Uikey as Governor of Chhattisgarh, Shri Biswa Bhusan Harichandan as Governor of Andhra Pradesh.”
