Karnataka to host this year’s Global Exhibition on Services on Nov 26-28

Bengaluru 5 Nov: Karnataka has been selected to host the 5th edition Global Exhibition on Services 2019 organized by the Department of Commerce and Industry, Government of India in support of Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC) and Confederation of Indian Industries (CII). The event is scheduled to be held on 26th to 28th November 2019 at Palace Grounds.

The Curtain raiser of the event was held today at Kamala Mahal, ITC Maurya, New Delhi, in the presence of Shri Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble Minister of Railways and Commerce & Industries, Government of India and Shri Jagdish Shettar, Hon’ble Minister of Large and Medium Scale Industries, Government of Karnataka. The other dignitaries include

  • Shri Gaurav Gupta, Principal Secretary, Department of Industries and Commerce, GOK
  • Shri Sudhanshu Pandey, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, GOI
  • Shri Darpan Jain, Joint Secretary, Commerce Department, GOI
  • Shri Chandrajit Banerjee, Director General, CII
  • Shri Satheesha, Managing Director,  VTPC, GOK

and others.

Global Exhibition on Services is an annual flagship global event for increasing trade in Services, enhancing strategic cooperation and strengthening multilateral relationships between all stakeholders. The 3 days event shall focus on promoting the 12 core sectors that come under the Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC) and 14 general sectors. The 12 core sectors include

The event shall see participation from more than 60 countries and shall see more than 40,000 sqft of Exhibitions, focussed knowledge sessions, networking and a large number of B2B, B2C and B2G meetings.
